Past, Present and Future

So it’s been almost a year since our last post, and although no one reads my blog, it helps me keep track of what has happened in our lives so I’m going to continue to do it. I got a job with Intermountain Healthcare this past October. I had been trying to get into their system for 3 years. I am a technician assistant in the Radiology Dept. Although my job is not at all what I really wanted to be doing,( working in the ER would have been preferable) it has turned out to be exactly what I needed. I started out as an on- call employee, which means no set hours, no benefits. However, I was made full time by New Years. The hours are great and since it’s mostly an outpatient department, I don’t work nights or holidays. I work mostly in MRI where I get tons of patient contact and get to help out the techs quite a bit. I have come in contact with people who can help me get where I need to go. I will have lots of patient care by the time I am ready for PA school. Wes is in school for his last full semester. He officially has one year left and all he will be doing is his senior project. Which is no menial task of creating a video game, but he is so great at what he is doing. Being artistic and some what of a perfectionist are two much needed qualities in his field. He also finds time to be the most amazing husband when I come home from work completely exhausted. We had a great Christmas! My sister, brother- in-law and niece and nephew came out for 2 weeks. We loved having them here! My adorable little red-headed niece just couldn’t stop being… well, adorable! We will get to see them in June when we go on our annual Lake Powell Trip. My brother is also back from his mission. He jumped right into school and dating, and is now also working at the MTC teaching Spanish and hopes to go this summer to the new one in South America to help get things started down there. Not one, but two new babies are on their way in Wes’ family! Two of his sisters are due this summer only a month and half apart. Wes’ is such a great uncle; he will be excited to have 4 nephews to wrestle with. The weather is getting warmer, slowly, and we are excited for the summer. I get a car this summer! After 2 years of having to share one, I will get to have one of my own! I also will be working on my applications to PA school. Life just keeps on rolling!
