Cake and Turkey (not at the same time)

I’d update our blog more often, but I don’t think people want to hear me complain about school and work. That’s all we really do except for special occasions. November brings two special occasions. First was my birthday. I share the same birthday as my adorable nephew, so to make me feel that my birthday was important, my wonderful husband, who understands me all too well, decided to make my birthday a week long celebration!

Monday I came home to find this. Streamers, balloons and a bed covered in chocolate hugs and kisses.

Tuesday, we were watching a movie and the doorbell rang. He got me flowers! With lilies ( I Love Lillies).
Wednesday was TacoBell. ( For those of you who know me well, know I love tacobell). I thought a picture would probably be unnecessary.

Thursday, I went to the bathroom and hiding in our bathroom cupboard were new movies!
Wes is artistic, and I have been begging him to draw me a picture, so that’s what I got Friday. And Saturday I got … a full length mirror! A nice one. You would laugh if you saw all the funny positions I had to get in to try and see what my shoes and pants look like together in a regular mirror! I spent Saturday and Sunday morning with my family. We celebrated with watching Harry Potter 7.2 and with cake and ice cream!
Sunday I got a delicious cheesecake from my in-laws to celebrate!

Next was Thanksgiving! Wes and I flew to Virginia to be with my sister, brother- in- law and my niece that we don’t get to see too often. We had a great time. Thanksgiving we cooked and watched football and just relaxed and watched my niece dance, play and just be so darn cute! Friday we went to National Harbor to ICE: Merry Madagascar. It was a Christams story with the Madagascar characters made entirely out of ice. It was -2 degrees to keep the ice from melting. It was awesome! People who do ice sculptures are very talented. It even had slides of ice you can ride down.
I love being with my family. It was a great Thanksgiving. The only thing that was missing was my brother who is still on a mission in NY. He will be here next year by this time. Below are pictures from the Virginia trip.

The semester ends in 2 ½ weeks… then Christams! Woohoo!
